Common questions
Is there a free trial?
Tell us about your village and we’ll set up a preview site at yourvillage.govsites.io, usually within one business day. Use it for 30 days with no credit card and no obligation. If you decide to go ahead, everything you built carries over.
What’s included in the launch package?
We’ll set up your site, organize your content and train your staff so you can go live quickly. We move your pages and documents and set up meetings, departments and staff. Your staff finishes the content. A three-year term includes that launch package.
How does billing work?
Your plan is invoiced once a year, net 30. Pay by ACH, check or card. The launch package and additional training are one-time charges. Renewal increases are capped at 3% a year, and a three-year term locks your price for all three years. Agreements include a non-appropriation clause, the standard protection for local governments when funds aren’t budgeted for another year.
Do you offer discounts for larger communities?
Plans are priced by population. A larger community uses Community or Premier rather than a discount off Essentials. Communities over 50,000 residents get a custom proposal.
Can we switch plans later?
Yes. Plans are suggested by population, not enforced by it. If you need more staff accounts, storage or support, you can move to the next plan at any time. You own your content, and we give you a full export if you ever leave.
Is GovSites ADA compliant?
The platform, every template, palette and form, is built and tested to WCAG 2.1 AA, the standard in the Department of Justice rule. What your staff posts matters too, especially PDFs and images, so the portal helps you get those right. Read our guide to the rule.
